All registered adults (Leaders, parents, interested registered adults) and Teen Girls Scouts age 16 and up serving in a Leadership position (i.e. PA, LIT, SGSTA), are invited to attend this timeless tradition of Girl Scouting in theChesapeake Bay Council. Come to the Fall School Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice to learn, laugh, sing and play with your old friends or make some new friends.
Our class list reflects the fun we have built into this unique weekend for adults, with courses that include breakfast and dinner cooking classes, all kinds of sweet things to cook and make, many crafts, lots of Tee Shirt options, outdoor skills and many, many more.
The cost for the entire weekend, Friday through Sunday is $50.00; This includes a bed, 9 or more class hours and four meals. There will also be activities on both Friday and Saturday Nights at no additional fee.
Some of the brightest stars of the Girl Scouts of Chesapeake Bay Council, Inc. are in our wonderful volunteer base. Yes, that is you! We appreciate the work you do, and know that if we intend to keep you interested, involved and functional, we need to educate you for the position you hold. At the same time, we need to inspire you to lead the girls to greatness, whatever age they may be. Fall School will help get your new year off to a great start!
Friends, fellowship, fun, and education—that is what Fall School is all about. A group of volunteers, just like you, has come together and arranged classes for the weekend. If you are one of the instructors who volunteered to teach, a heartfelt thank you! We couldn’t do it without you. If you are on the Fall School Committee, a big “Thank you Sweetie” to you!
Service Unit Money Earning Activities
This year we will be continuing a money earning opportunity for Service Units. The concession stands will be staffed by a Service Unit(s) and/or the Fall School Committee as a way of lending a helping hand. The concession stands will be in the Dining Hall from Friday evening til Saturday evening and at the Program Center from Saturday morning through Saturday evening. In both locations, Sunday morning will be an optional time to sell concessions. All profits from the concession stand will benefit the group working there. Be sure to bring small bills and coins. Call either office for an application
Girl Scouts Go Golfing – Come join us at our very own miniature golf course on the tennis courts Saturday night and test your skills at the age old sport of golfing. We will have a 10 hole golf course, guaranteed to sweeten your evening activities and tickle your funny bone. After your success at golf, head to the Punch Bowl Fire Circle for a campfire and awards ceremony. The options continue to expand into the evening, with music, songs and dancing in the Program Center or Bingo in the Dining Hall. Don’t forget to bring your White Elephant items for BINGO!
