Adult Education Registration Guidelines

Important: You must register in advance for each course you plan to attend.

Unregistered participants will be included only if materials and space permit; participation is not guaranteed. All Outdoor, CPR and First Aide training require registration and payment at least two weeks prior to the course. Courses will be closed when the maximum number of participants is reached. Courses may be cancelled if they fail to reach the minimum number of participants.

Registration for trainings is open any time of the year for upcoming trainings. However, registration will be closed seven days prior to the training as materials have to be copied and delivered to facilitators. If we do not have at least five participants registered the session will also be cancelled seven days prior to the training. (registered participants will be notified as the decision is made).

 

Registration Fees

Course fees are due at the time of registration. Registration will only be accepted by phone: 800-341-4007 x 7174
A complete Adult Training Form must be submitted for each course you plan to attend.

 

Cancellations

A training session may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior based on inclement weather or trainer emergency. Cancellation information can be found on the cancellation mailbox line 800-341-4007 ext. 8332. Every effort will be made to contact participants in case of cancellations.

 

Refunds

In the event a training session is cancelled by GSCBC, we will make every effort to reschedule the session. If you are unable to attend a rescheduled session within the training year, your prepaid registration will be refunded.
Please notify the Volunteer Services Admin. Assistant at 302-456-7174 or bchandler@cbgsc.org if you are unable to attend a training or leave a message if the office is closed. Outdoor and CPR/First Aide training fees will be refunded only if the cancellation is received in the NRC at least 3 weeks prior to the course. Cancellations can be made by phone, e-mail, in person, or in writing.

 

Confirmations

E-mail confirmations will be sent for registrations. Written confirmations will only be sent for Camping Basics along with a packing list and directions to camp.

 

Course Materials

Course materials will be provided to registered participants at the training session. Please bring pen/pencil and paper to class. Please also bring appropriate handbooks/journeys both for girls and adults to all courses. They will be used in activities.

Please make every effort to be on time for your course. Trainers are asked to begin promptly and end on time.
