Rock Climbing
Girl Scout Brownies through Cadettes
Join the Alapocas Run climbing team for some top rope natural rock climbing. Topics covered include equipment, safety and discussion of physical and mental preparedness.
WHEN:

WHERE: Alapocas Run State Park, Bancroft Mills Parking Lot, 165 Bancroft Mills Rd., Wilmington, DE 19806
COST: $26 per participant (girl or adult), includes fun patch.
NOTE: Safety equipment, ropes and belayers provided. Min 10/Max 20.

Nature Power!
Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors
Explore the ins and outs of historic Cooch-Dayett Mills and discover how water-generated energy to run all its machines. Harness the ultimate power source – the sun! Observe this star with a specially-filtered telescope, do a solar power experiment, construct a simple sundial, make your own solar print and use a solar oven.
WHEN: June 6, 2015, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
WHERE: Cooch-Dayett Mills, 904 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702
COST: $10 per girl, includes fun patch.
NOTE: Activities align with Brownie Wonders of Water and Junior Get Moving Journeys. Min 8/Max 30.

 

Bugs, Bugs Everywhere #bugs
Girl Scout Brownies
Come have a “bug-tastic” time exploring insects from the museum collections, make your own insect craft and explore outside the museum to watch insects up close.
WHEN: June 13, 2015, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
WHERE: Iron Hill Museum, 1355 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702
COST: $10 per girl, includes Bugs badge.
NOTE: Have each girl bring a toilet paper tube. Free admission for two leaders/chaperones per program. Additional museum visitors are $2 each. Min 10/Max 15.

 

Adventure Day at Roundtop Mountain Resort

WHO: All Girl Scout grade levels, families and friends
WHEN: June 13 or 14, 11a.m. - 5 p.m. each day

WHERE: Roundtop Mountain Resort, 925 Roundtop Road, Lewisberry PA 17339
Mountain Adventures admission includes the OGO ball, bumper boats, zip lines, 4800’ maze, tons of climbing features, and a chairlift ride.
Reservations required in order to receive discount rate and complimentary Girl Scout event day patch. www.skiroundtop.com/scoutdays
COST: $25/per person (meal ticket optional for an additional $7.)

All Girl Scout grade levels, family and friends

COST: $12 per girl, includes fun patch. Additional $10 entry fee for Punkin Fling, Bake-off and/or Chili Cook-off.
NOTE: Catapults & Trebuchets -- two age groups (D-J, C-A) -- Prizes!
