Product Sales programs are designed to encourage Brownie, Junior and Teen Girl Scouts to develop their self-potential, learn to relate to others, develop values and contribute to society.

GSCB offers two Product Sales Programs: the Cookie Program (January - March) and the QSP "Be a Reader" & Nut Program (October). Girls taking part in product sales activities learn firsthand the value of making plans and setting goals. They invest their time and energy and, in the process, earn money for their Girl Scout troops. Girls are proud that their efforts provide resources for council programs and funds for their own Girl Scout activities within the troop/group.

When participating in Girl Scout Product Sale Programs, girls also learn the basic steps in sound financial management - planning, earning, spending, saving and investing. Girl participation is voluntary, with each family making an informed choice.
