With Abbott’s Mill Nature Center, explore the wildlife of the bay, beach, dunes and saltmarsh! Jump into waders and pull a seine net, search for whelk egg cases and look for fiddler crabs in the marsh. Enjoy the day and learn how these environments support an amazing variety of plants and animals. Learn the importance of Delaware beaches and horseshoe crabs for the annual shorebird migration in May. Dress for weather, wear boots/shoes to get muddy. Program includes the Junior Animal Habitats badge.
