Coverdale Garden Architects
Put yourself in the shoes of a vegetable farmer at Delaware Nature Society’s Coverdale Farm Preserve as you design your very own edible or pollinator-friendly garden! Sow seeds of horticultural success by investigating small-scale and production-scale garden design. Identify key cultural needs of plants, learn which plants grow best in our region and which plants attract butterflies and bees, and dig into healthy soil to discover the life it supports. End your gardening adventure with your own “ready to plant” garden design and a green thumb to make it beautiful! Bring a water bottle, dress for the weather and wear comfortable hiking shoes. Completes some requirements for the Junior Gardener badge. Program also includes a fun patch!
