Make a difference this summer!

Imagine camping, hiking, and boating all summer while making a difference! We are looking for passionate individuals to work with girls and young women this summer. Everything we do is focused on helping girls grow strong, build a safe community, and have fun. Community is an intangible benefit of Girl Scout Summer Camp, but it's the most important one!

Hourly positions are available throughout the year facilitating activities such as swimming, boating, zip lining, low ropes, and archery. Contact Miranda Gordon if you are interested in being a paid Outdoor Adventure Facilitator!

Assistant Camp Manager
$400 GP Assist with daily camp operations. Oversee unit scheduling and health center. Supervise Unit Leaders, Unit Counselors, Nurse and Health Asst. Prefer previous supervising experience. Minimum age 21.
Program Manager $375

Plan, implement and oversee programs such as arts, outdoor, archery, sports, all camp activities and PA/CIT. Supervise 7 specialists/leads and ensure programs are high quality. Prefer previous supervising experience. Minimum age 21.
Operations Manager $350 GP Oversee in camp kitchen, administrative tasks and financial records. Answer phone calls and emails daily, organize camper paperwork and track purchasing and expense reports. Manage food service operations and plan meals. Supervise 3 kitchen staff. Prefer previous supervising experience. Minimum age 21.
Art Specialist $300

Plan and lead art sessions, which include drama, music and crafts with campers. Experience in teaching or coaching youth and demonstrable proficiency in art preferred.
Activity/Sports Specialist $300 GP Plan and lead activity/sports sessions, which include sports and evening activities with campers. Experience teaching or coaching youth and demonstrable proficiency in sports preferred.
Archery Specialist $300 GP Teach archery technique and safety. Training provided for qualified applicants. Experience teaching or coaching youth preferred.
Kayaking/Sailing Specialist $300 GP Teach kayaking/sailing technique and safety. Training provided for qualified applicants. Experience teaching or coaching youth preferred.
Outdoor Specialist $300

Plan and lead outdoor activities with campers. Experience teaching or coaching youth preferred.

Country Center only—will teach archery technique and safety.

STEM Specialist $300 CC Plan and lead STEM activities with campers. Experience teaching or coaching youth preferred.
PA/CIT Lead $300 GP Implement program and evaluate teens in Program Aid or Counselor-in-Training programs. Responsible for direct supervision of girls ages 15-18 and safety of the unit of PA/CIT. Experience in youth leadership preferred. Minimum age 21.
Aquatics Lead $300 GP Develop and implement program activities at pool and waterfront including swimming tests and waterfront activities. Manage pool operations, supervise lifeguard staff and organize overall aquatics program. Maintain pool, shower house and waterfront, and ensure that camp meets aquatic standards. Training provided for qualified candidates. Prefer previous supervisor experience.
Lifeguard $200 GP Ensure a safe pool and waterfront environment for swimming and waterfront activities. Training provided for qualified candidates. Minimum age 16.

Supervise, support and work with 1-2 Unit Counselors to develop and implement unit program lead 12 to 24 campers through their week to provide fun, high-quality program oppportunities. Camping, leadership, and youth experience desired. Minimum age 21.
Unit Counselor

Work as a team with other counselors and Unit Lead to develop and implement unit program. Lead 12 to 24 campers through their week to provide fun, high-quality program opportunities. Ensure safety of all participants. Minimum age 18.
Junior Counselor   GP Work as a team to assist the Unit Counselors to develop and implement unit program. Work directly with campers to provide fun, high-quality program opportunities. Ensure safety of all participants. Preferred age 16 or 17, and successfully completed CIT I and CIT II at GSCB camps OR age 18 and entering senior year of high school.
Nurse   GP Manage the health of all campers and staff, respond to emergencies and administer medications. Maintain health records and ensure that camp is meeting all health codes and standards. RN or advanced First Aid certification preferred. Minimum age 21.
Health Assistant   GP Resident Camp Maintain and distribute camper and staff medications. Perform First Aid and basic healthcare as necessary. Maintain health records. RN or advanced First Aid certification preferred. Minimum age 21.
Kitchen Staff   GP Assist in the kitchen with meal preparation, serving and clean up. Responsibility of preparing special diet and vegetarian meals. Knowledge and experience in quantity cooking preferred. Minimum age 16.

Volunteer at Summer Camp

You'll have a lifelong impact on girls, develop your own leadership expertise, gain new skills and tools, and connect with others. There's no cost to volunteer and children of volunteers receive 50% off one week of camp for one child!

Roles include:

  • Unit Leader: Supervise, support and work with 1-2 Unit Counselors and a group of 12 to 24 campers
  • Unit Counselor: Lead 12 to 24 campers through their week. Work with a variety of age groups and participate in all camp activities.
  • Lifeguards: Ensure a safe pool and waterfront environment for swimming and waterfront activities.
  • Nurse: Medical professionals needed! Provide First Aid and manage camper and staff safety.
  • Healthcare Assistant: Medical professionals needed. Provide First Aid and manage camper and staff safety.
  • Kitchen Staff: Assist in the kitchen with meal preparation, serving and clean up.
How to Become a Camp Volunteer
  1.  Volunteers must be a registered Girl Scout member. Register here if you have not already.
  2.  Send an email to camp@cbgsc.org with your name, contact information, when you'd like to volunteer and why you want to volunteer with Girl Scouts.
  3. Complete camp training. More details on camp training will be available soon.
