The Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay meets six times per year to set strategic direction for the council, ensure that GSCB has the necessary resources and provide oversight when necessary.
At the most recent Board of Directors meeting on January 17, 2018 they discussed the following agenda items:
1. New Board Member
The Board of Directors voted in a new Board Member, Sylvia Quinton. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Nation's Capital. Sylvia works at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore as a Program Administrator.
2. Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
Two Girl Scouts from Chesapeake Bay received a Certificate of Achievement for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award and will be moving on to state recognition. Both girls were invited to the Board of Directors meeting in January. Shelby from Troop 1246 in Bridgeville, DE and her family were able to attend, and the Board of Directors presented her with the certificate. Allison from Troop 465 in Wilmington, DE was presented with her certificate at On My Honor the following Sunday.
3. Girl Scout Cookie Program
The Board of Directors was given an overview on the 2018 Girl Scout Cookie Program.
