Board of Directors Update

The Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay meets six times per year to set strategic direction for the council, ensure that GSCB has the necessary resources and provide oversight when necessary. 

At the most recent Board of Directors meeting on February 21, 2018 they discussed the following agenda items: 

1. Fiscal Year 2017 Audit Results

The Board reviewed and approved the FY 2017 Audit Results, which was a period January 2017 to September 2017.  Fiscal Year 2018 now matches our membership year, and will run from October 2017 to September 2018. 

2. Board Chair Training

Board Chair Katya Nieburg-Wheeler attended training at Edith Macy Conference Center, and she shared her experiences with the Board of Directors.  The training focused on governance trends, tools to take the Board to the next level, and finding a supportive network of peers.
