Want to help others learn how to operate and maneuver our small
crafts; kayaks, SUPs and Canoes? By completing this training, you are
able to facilitate small watercrafts for two years. In this course you
will learn information and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to
small craft water emergencies. You will also practice leading a
group.
This course does not certify lifeguarding. You
will be required to complete online coursework in gsLearn
(approximately 3 hours) before attending this training.
There is no cost to individuals to complete the training. There is
in turn, an expectation to facilitate four outdoor adventures,
outlined in an agreement during registration.
Please
bring a water bottle, towel, bathing suit/clothes to swim in, water
shoes and a change of clothes. We will be training in the water.
Training time does not include a meal, please feel free to bring a
snack for during the program and/or meal to enjoy at camp before or
after the training.
