Volunteers and Adult Members are invited to participate in Blended
Youth Mental Health First Aid Training which consists of a 2-hour self
paced online course and a 5.5 hour instructor-led training.
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify,
understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use
challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18.
WHAT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID COVERS
Common signs and symptoms of
mental health challenges in
this age group, including anxiety,
depression, eating disorders, and more.
Common signs and
symptoms of substance use challenges.
How to interact with a
child or adolescent in crisis.
How to connect the youth with
help.
This course is valued at $170/learner. Thanks to a
generous donation, learners may attend at no charge.
Pre-work and live virtual session information will be sent one week
prior to the training.
