Capital Campaign

You can help Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay be a beacon for all girls.

Why did we move?

Our 25-year old building was on land owned by the University of Delaware in Newark, DE. They did not renew our ground lease, but purchased our old building in December 2015.

How are we making it happen?

The total cost, including land acquisition, construction and construction-related costs will be close to $7.6 million. We are funding this building from generous individuals, corporations, small businesses and foundations. If we do not reach our goals by 2017, we will have to convert any outstanding construction loan into a mortgage.

Because of the strong Girl Scout mission, our alumnae network and our wonderful Girl Scout families, we are having a successful campaign throughout the Delmarva Peninsula.
