Summer Camp 2022

Summer Camp

It's time to tell the couch to PEACE OUT & meet us outside!

Summer camp can be a life-changing, unforgettable experience where a girl can make new friends and learn about herself. Whether she wants to get away for the day, or the week, there's an opportunity for her at camp. With lessened capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions, this summer will give girls unique, small-group opportunities to try new things, hone their outdoor skills, and take on new leadership roles.

In order to allow proper social distancing and sanitation, and follow local guidelines for gathering, summer camp spots are limited for the 2022 season. We recommend reserving your Girl Scout's spot as soon as possible to ensure she can join us this summer.

Resources for Families Before and During Camp

Get Ready for Camp
COVID-19 Information

The safety of our Girl Scouts is always our first priority. GSCB has taken measures to significantly limit the capacity of our 2022 summer camp season in order to ensure distancing and sanitation guidelines can be followed at all times.

Your Girl Scout can expect the following during her stay:

  •  Screening procedures will occur at arrival including temperature checks, questionnaires and hand washing.
  • Campers and staff must wear a mask when indoors.
  • Hand washing will be built into the activity schedule.
  • Lowered number of camper slots available.
  • Camp groups will be small
  • Sanitizing frequently touched areas regularly.
  • All camper personal items must be labeled with the girl's first and last name to limit mix-ups and accidental swaps. See the Lovable Labels section below to purchase your labels through our partner and support GSCB.

GSCB continues to monitor guidance for slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This may result in changes in our precautions and/or offerings before or during your Girl Scout’s stay. Any relevant changes will be communicated to parents and caregivers promptly.

Camp Care Packages & Camp Mail

Camper Care Packages

Send your campers some love while they are away from home by having a Camp Care Package delivered during their stay! This year's camp care package includes a bucket hat, sunglasses and cooling face mask. Cost is $30.00, available for purchase during registration. Camp Care Packages are only available for resident campers.

Camper Mail

Nothing quite compares to a handwritten note! We are happy to pass along a letter to your camper. All you need to do is email camp@cbgsc.org with the subject “Camper Mail - First Name, Last Initial”.

You can also write your own letter(s) and drop them off at check-in, to be delivered throughout the week. Mailing letters through the post office is not the most timely route for our location.

Send your camper with a card, envelope and stamp. We will encourage her to write home!

Lovable Labels

Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay is excited to partner with Lovable Labels! Using our link, your Lovable Labels purchases support GSCB.

Don't forget - this year at summer camp, ALL girl personal items MUST be labelled wth her first and last name to prevent mix-ups.

Purchase your Lovable Labels ahead of time: www.girlscoutsofcb.lovablelabels.ca

(P.S. They also work great for school, day care, and extracurriculars!)
