Operation Taste of Home
Girl Scouts have a long tradition of making the world a better place through community service. Operation Taste of Home encourages girls and the community to make a difference by donating Girl Scout Cookies and/or Fall Products to service members all over the world and to local charities.
Since 2003, our community has helped Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay send 502,920 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to men and women in the Armed Forces and numerous charities across the Delmarva Peninsula. In 2019, we sent 34,356 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to our Armed Forces and local charities.
How can you help?
It’s easy! You can purchase cookies from any troop or cookie booth and designate your purchase for Operation Taste of Home. Because you will not receive the cookies you purchase, your contribution is tax deductible. Donations still benefit Girl Scouts, as girls and troops receive full credit towards rewards and troop proceeds for all cookies sold through the program - so you're doing double the good!
During our Fall Product Program, you can purchase a $6 nut voucher that will be converted into a delicious honey roasted peanut that will be distributed to those in need through our local Delmarva food banks.
