Programs are subject to change or cancellation. Please check the listings below for the most up-to-date program information.
Events are held rain or shine unless inclement weather would adversely affect the program. In those cases, participants will be notified of cancellation and/or rescheduling of programs. If GSCB cancels an event for any reason, GSCB will issue a complete refund of the registration fee. If the minimum number of participants (most programs the minimum number is 10) is not met prior to the program date, unless otherwise noted, the program will be cancelled.
Cancellation and refund requests must be made via MemberCare@cbgsc.org one week prior to the program to receive full refund minus credit card processing fees. No refunds will be issued if less than one week’s notice, unless for medical reasons. Refunds for medical reasons will only be processed if notification is made before the event. No refunds will be issued for individuals who do not show up for their scheduled event. GSUSA Membership and Council Service Fee are non-refundable.
We believe finances should never stand in the way of a girl experiencing all Girl Scouts has to offer. Thanks to generous funding for Outdoor and STEM programming, we will be able to provide Financial Assistance for girls who need it to participate in programs and events with cost associated up to $80.00 per girl. This financial assistance opportunity will be available Oct. 1st, 2024 - June 30th, 2025, or until the funds are used up.
If the program meets badge requirements, will girls receive the badge? Yes, badges will be provided.
What should my Girl Scout expect from this program? A description of what to expect can be found in your program’s description. This is broken down by each day/night of the program. Additional information and/or last-minute reminders will be sent the Monday before your program.
Do I need to attend with my Girl Scout or Troop? Please check the description of your program. You’ll notice that most of our overnight and weekend programs this year are drop off programs. Adult spots are limited. If you are an adult registering for the program, please be prepared to play an active role in facilitating. Additional information about roles will be included in the email sent the Monday before the program.
What are the sleeping accommodations? All overnight and weekend programs from October 1st through March 31st will be sleeping in a camp lodge. This will consist of indoor plumbing/showers, electricity, and mattresses either on the floor or on bunk beds. Some examples are Choptank Lodge, Program Center, STEM Lodge, and Troop house.
All overnight and weekend programs from April 1st through September 30th will be sleeping in an adirondack or tent unit. This consists of sleeping in small groups of 4-8. Adirondacks are wooden cabins with a screen front and wooden bunkbeds. Tent units are large canvas tents on a platform with 4 cots. There are flush toilets, running water, and a communal unit house within each campsite. There may be a short walk to the showers.
Is there a packing list? Yes. The suggested packing list can be found linked in your program’s description, in the email you received one day after registration, and linked HERE.
What happens if I need to cancel the registration? Cancellation and refund requests must be made via MemberCare@cbgsc.org one week prior to the program to receive full refund minus credit card processing fees. No refunds will be issued if less than one week’s notice, unless for medical reasons. Refunds for medical reasons will only be processed if notification is made before the event. No refunds will be issued for individuals who do not show up for their scheduled event.
What happens in the case of inclement weather? While it is GSCB’s intention to always deliver scheduled programming to troops, inclement weather may necessitate cancellation of programming. Program Specialists, in coordination with the Associate Director of Program and Partnerships, may make decisions to hold or cancel programs on an individual basis based on the safety and well-being of all involved.
We will do our best to reschedule your program. The Program Specialist will reach out within 48 hours of cancelled program.
