MOE Robotics, was formed in 1999 for high school students, when a group of local engineers recognized the value of encouraging students to pursue STEM careers. The team competes in FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), an international program that combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Local volunteer professionals mentor students through the process of solving complex and challenging questions in a fun and exciting atmosphere. Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program 125 lb robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship.

Skype a Scientist matches scientists with classrooms for informal Q&As all about science! We serve about 10,000 groups a year in this mission. Girls can ask about careers in science, or can just ask about what life is like as a scientist while learning about the scientist's area of expertise! We have thousands of scientists to choose from, all of whom are offering their time and expertise on a volunteer basis. If your Girl Scout troop wants to talk about dolphins, we have a scientist for that. If they want to learn about space, we've got a scientist for that too! Really any possible scientific topic girls can think of, we have a scientist to match their needs.

We are working to bridge the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We do this by educating girls ages 7-14 through 3D printing workshops. We host public sessions for individuals to register themselves and have the opportunity to have groups (such as troops) register for private sessions. Girls will learn about real world applications of 3D printing, create their own unique 3D printed design on computer-aided design software and receive it in the mail at home! Opportunity to earn a MakerGirl Level 1: Future Makers patch.

As Miss Greenville 2023, and a former Girl Scout of 13 years, I created this program to teach financial literacy skills to our youth. This interactive program helps teens take their first steps towards financial success. Throughout the program I cover topics ranging from credit cards to basic money management. Understanding these imperative financial tools will help set your Girl Scouts onto the path of financial independence. I would love the opportunity to work with your troop and reinforce how we can best use our resources wisely.
