Outdoor Skills Training Experience (Day) - Camp Todd
Grab a cooler, make your fire starters, and join us for Outdoor
Skills Training!
This training qualifies you to camp in rustic
units like Adirondacks and tents.
The curriculum for the day
will help you hone the hands-on skills of fire building, cooking
outdoors, and give you an opportunity to practice knots and knife
skills with an Outdoor Skills Instructor.
Upon
completion of this training, you will be placed in an Outdoor Skills
Facilitator role and can download a certificate of completion from
gsLearn. Homework prior to training – All attendees are expected to
complete an online learning module is gsLearn prior to attending this
in person training. 200 Outdoor Basics is an online learning course
providing a foundation of information on GSCB outdoor activities,
fires and more. Information on how to access this training will be
found on the receipt of your training registration.
This
training is led by GSCB volunteers serving as Outdoor Skills
Instructors.
Cost will be FREE.
You need to
bring:
1. pre-made fire starters (two or more
recommended!)
2. your own food
