Ready to step into a leadership role on the water? This weekend training will prepare you to become a Junior Facilitator for small craft programs. You'll gain hands-on experience with planning, safety, and group instruction-plus, you'll help lead real paddling activities at our "Water You Waiting For?" event! Build your skills, boost your confidence, and have a blast mentoring younger Girl Scouts. Leadership has never been this fun! What to expect: Friday: Enjoy a campfire while learning about what it means to be a Junior Small Craft Facilitator Saturday: Gain hands-on practice on the water to prepare you to assist with younger Girl Scout programming on Sunday. Sunday: Start using those facilitator skills and boosting your confidence by leading younger Girl Scouts out on the water. A packing list can be found HERE. Attendees will be staying in Adirondacks or Canvas Tents. Meals include - Friday - snack. Saturday - breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, Sunday - breakfast and lunch. Requires completion of 200 Small Craft in gsLearn prior to the weekend.
