The GSCB Moon Tree Has Landed!
Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay was thrilled to receive a "Moon Tree" from the Artemis I space mission. After careful review of hundreds of applications, NASA selects organizations from across the country to receive ‘Moon Tree’ seedlings that flew around the Moon on the agency’s Artemis I mission in 2022, to plant in their communities.
GSCB is a proud steward of an Artemis I loblolly pine tree and has selected Camp Todd in Denton, Maryland as it's home. The tree was planted on Thursday, November 14th by the GSCB Properties team.

Visiting the Moon Tree
The Moon Tree will be available to visit by Girl Scouts and the public. It is planted near Choptank Lodge at Camp Todd. GSCB is in the process of developing an "I Saw the Moon Tree" Fun Patch for visitors to purchase to commemorate their visit. Please note that GSCB's Camp Todd is private property and does require a reservation to access. Options include an overnight stay, day use with building access, or a day pass with no building access.
