The Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council is excited to announce the celebration of two camp milestones in 2026:
These beloved Girl Scout Camps have shaped generations of Girl Scouts through outdoor exploration, community, leadership and sisterhood. To honor this rich history we are proud to host a 3-part Leading with Legacy event series.
Saturday, June 13th, 2026 | 5:00PM - 9:00PM | Camp Todd
(25012 Beauchamp Branch Rd. Denton, MD 21629)
Legacy at the Lakefront marks the opening celebration of the Leading with Legacy event series honoring 75 years of Camp Todd and the generations of Girl Scouts, volunteers, and supporters who have shaped its enduring spirit of courage, confidence, and character.
This nostalgic adults-only evening invites alumnae, community partners, and friends to return to camp, this time as grown-ups, for a joyful celebration of leadership, sisterhood, and adventure. Guests will relive the magic of camp through songs, classic camp games, archery, hatchet throwing, a lakeside photo quest, s’mores by the fire, laughter, and shared memories, all while raising critical funds to sustain and strengthen Camp Todd for decades to come.
Event proceeds will directly support a revitalization and reimagining of Camp Todd for the next 75 years, including:
New roofs on Adirondack units to protect and preserve camper housing
New mattresses across camp to ensure comfort and quality overnight experiences
A permanent stationary hatchet-throwing course to expand outdoor adventure programming
A new hammock site for relaxing, reflecting, or sleeping under the stars
Legacy at the Lakefront blends nostalgia, signature cocktails, delicious camp-inspired cuisine, music, and meaningful philanthropy, creating an unforgettable evening that honors Camp Todd’s rich history while boldly investing in its future.
Thursday, September 17th, 2026 | 4:00PM - 8:00PM | Camp Country Center
(1051 Sharpless Rd. Hockessin, DE 19707)
Friends of Girl Scouting will gather at Camp Country Center for Legacy at the Lodge, an open house celebrating 85 years of memories, milestones, and mission impact. Set against the backdrop of the lodge and the brand-new deck, unveiled with a special ribbon-cutting, this evening invites families, alums, volunteers, donors, and community partners to reconnect at the heart of camp.
Guests will stroll down “Memory Lane,” revisit treasured traditions, and capture photos that honor generations of girls who have grown in confidence and courage here. A sweet s’mores board featuring Girl Scout Cookies will offer a nostalgic twist on a camp classic, alongside curated charcuterie grazing and signature cocktails served on the new deck, creating space for conversation, connection, and celebration.
Throughout the evening, guests can browse a silent auction and explore opportunities to “adopt a unit” or camp amenity through easy QR code giving. More than an open house, Legacy at the Lodge celebrates Camp Country Center as a cornerstone of Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay, honoring 85 years of impact while inspiring continued investment in the future of girls at camp.
