Waterfront Lifeguard Training

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid and Waterfront Skills, Valid for 2 years. Please note that you must successfully pass the lifeguarding course to obtain the Waterfront Certificate; however, participants who do not pass the Waterfront Module are still able to obtain their lifeguard certificate.

 

Training Times:

Friday - 12:00pm-9:00pm (break for dinner)

Saturday - 9:00am-9:00pm (breaks for lunch and dinner)

Sunday - 9:00am-9:00pm (breaks for lunch and dinner)

Online portion of training must be completed prior to first day of training.

*must actively participate in all training

 

 

Please bring a water bottle, lunch, dinner and snacks for both days, sunscreen, bug spray, swimwear, comfortable clothing, extra clothes, towel, and closed toe shoes. Lodging is available. If you are interested in staying, please contact Member Care. Please plan on packing all personal equipment and food.

 

Please be aware that the skill practice sessions in the lifeguarding course involve strenuous physical activity. If you have concerns about your ability to participate fully in the class, please contact membercare@cbgsc.org before the first in-person session to discuss possible accommodations. You may also wish to speak with a healthcare professional before you participate.
